Physics Lab

We have well equipped spacious Physics Lab, which can accommodate 30 Students at a time with individual experiments. We are proud that one of our Alumni Nobel Laureate Dr. S. Chandrasekaran did his basic experiments in our Labs.

Our teachers are fond of making the students, “Learn Physics by doing” their experiments under their guidance. Our Lab is enriched with all the required apparatus needed for the existing pattern of Tamil Nadu Board Exam in the +2 Level including Spectrometer

Chemistry Lab

Ours is a model Chemistry Laboratory specially designed for Schools with more space and proper to ventilation. It is more or less similar a college lab. We have 10 working tables for students to do their practicals with more comfort. At a time about 30 boys can do their work individually. We have adequate safety measure Five Extinguisher to cover with. We provide Borosil Glass Wares and Asalar chemicals of high quality for practical. There is one cement water tank of 5000 litre capacity adjacent to the lab to store rain water which we use for analysis instead of distilled water. We have two sets of pipe connection one with ground water and the other one with Metro water. There are 6 sinks and 7 almirahs. There is a separate room to store chemicals. We have a gas plant. But for economy reason we are using Indane gas cylinder. A portion of the lab is alloted for the preparation of solution.

Here we have a big periodic table chart. Portraiting of Scientists donated by an Alumni namely P. Venkatram of 1990-1991 batch, a chart showing the elements with discovers and the year of discovery and a chart with names of Nobel Laureates in chemistry in the centenary year 1901 - 2001. We also have models of molecules and orbitals.

Biology Lab

Our School is endowed with well equipped biology laboratory located in the serene and gardening atmosphere of the science block

The lab has good natural ventilation and is also provided with sufficient number of electrical fittings to facilitate for the effective work of the students. Sufficient number of work-tables with stools are also provided.

The lab is equipped with 25 compound microscopes and 35 simple microscopes.

Hence the students perform the practical works individually and with more confidence.

Also a binocular microscope is available for the clear and effective training.

The lab has a well maintained museum with myriad number of preserved and stuffed plant and animal specimens to cater to the needs of the children of all categories.

Also, more number of permanent slides are available in accordance with the syllabus of all standards and they are systematically arranged in the slides cabinet.

The lab is provided with sufficient number of sinks with taps to perform the dissection works.

Sufficient number of charts, clay and plastic models are also available to handle the classes of life sciences lively and effectively.

The indigenous working models devised by our student add a feather on the cap of the lab and prestigious Institution at large.

Computer Lab

The School Library is having good collection of books housed in spacious hall which is serving as Reading room also. Library is having about 10,000 reference books to cater to the needs of the staff and students.

It is having books general in nature to more specific subjects like Maths, Physics etc. It is having books in Tamil, English, Telugu, Hindu & Sanskrit.

This library is having some unique books also. For example “History of the military transactions of the British Nation in Industan” by Robert orme published in 1861, Rulers of India series published in the last quarter of 19th century & many books published in the early 20th century in Tamil, Hindi, English & Sanskrit Literature.

The library is now being classified according to color classification 6th Edition and is manned by a qualified librarian.

Higher Secondary Students are extensively using library for their development. For other classes set of books are given in their classes to be studied at the class itself.
