History
Headstart Learning Centre (HLC) is an extension of Headstart Nursery and Primary School that was started in 1995 by Mrs. Sudha Mahesh, the founder principal. The kindergarten classes (Pre-KG and KG) are run at the primary school premises at Kottivakkam. Classes 1 to 10 are conducted at HLC premises at Thoraipakkam, on the Old Mahabalipuram Road, in Seevaram, Perungudi.
Growth: Until 2004, Headstart was coaching students only up to Grade 5. Now, however, HLC coaches students up to Class 10 as per Edexcel’s IGCSE curriculum. HLC students have performed creditably in the first IGCSE examination they had taken in October-November 2008.
